Hmm. Well, I suppose it might also depend on which store brand one buys. I have had some disappointing cc, but also some great stuff.
Having provided product for the canning companies ( farming and growing peas and corn) we saw the inner workings of the factories. The stuff sold to the stores, is usually the stuff that doesn't pass the quality tests for their Name brand products. Every time I make pumpkin cake roll, people rave about it. I always used Philly, but once I did use the store brand because I was assured it was made by the same company. It had no flavor. So never again. But now I think I'll just have to find other desserts to make. I don't want any of my money to go to those crooks.
Agreed. I have given up some products I like as well. Just not worth supporting them. I wish more people did the same.
I know. It's hard to be that disciplined. But it does make a difference. It's not an easy road to travel these days. But in the long run it saves me money because I just don't buy as much. LOL
