Trump really pumped-up Rubio Marco at Miami rally on Sunday, mentioned DeSantis with verbal shrug of an endorsement.
Trump mentions Mitch McConnell & his wife Coco several times at both rallies

There is America First, aka, MAGA, and there is the Establishment. Maybe there is an in between group sitting on the fence, but what does that say about them? They are opportunists waiting to see which way the wind blows.

The RNC knows their days are numbered if President Trump delivers a red wave with his primary endorsements and midterm rallies. Their only hope is to block him from returning to the Presidency. So, maybe they are looking for a popular fence sitter to primary President Trump.

Is it a rift? Or, is it just President Trump signaling he isn’t done draining the swamp, and it would be a bad idea to get in his way?

I believe the latter. Trump doesn't typically mince words. When he alludes, he does so with purpose.

I'm sure, after the midterms, Trump will either go whole hog on calling out DeSantis, or this will fade to obscurity.
