Inconvenient Facts About Electric Cars and Emissions..."Volkswagen published an honest study (in which they) point out that the first 60,000 miles or so you're driving an electric vehicle, that electric vehicle will have emitted more carbon dioxide than if you just drove a conventional vehicle."

Oh those electric cars just look better and better haha!
The infrastructure isn’t in place nationwide to charge on main highways; the distance you can travel before a charge is needed, is short; electric cars at a minimum run around $50,000; replacement batteries cost $20,000-30,000; more fuel is needed to charge an electric car compared to the cost of a tank of gasoline; there are not enough electric cars in production to replace gasoline cars; lithium batteries are made in China with materials only available in China. Now tell me how this makes any sense, unless the goal is to curtail your movements, decrease the number of people who can own a car and force the use of mediocre public transportation.
Which doesn't even exist where I live, way out in the country.
I reckon the "greenest" thing to do is not to upgrade your current car, keep it going.
That wouldn't suit the manufacturers though.
Good.
And that's only some of it. They don't even mention the sustainability of the mining. It's a very interesting rabbit hole.
A very inefficient method for using coal and biomass produced energy.
Yup, not talking me out of my 95 Tacoma with that BS.
Or my 99 Chevy 4WD pickup.
But it's okay, because CO2 isn't a pollutant, anyway,
LOL, don't believe Volkswagen (Germans are not trustworthy)
