I'm in total shock. Day before yesterday the girl that's staying here ran over one of my chickens. Hubby rang me at work said she's dead ,I've put her in the rubbish bin ( one that we use for incineration.) I was quite upset as Hoppy as I call her was my favourite chicken. Anyway I just clipped all my dogs ears ready for summer as grass seeds are a pest around the farm and they get them in their ears and went to empty the vacuumed up dog hair into the bin. I opened the lid and the chook is clucking and staring at me from the bottom of the bin. I said to hubby what's this chook ,he said what chook ,I said the one in the bin,he said it's dead ,I said no it ain't it's clucking at me. So I got her out , gave her food and water and put her in the crate separate from the other chooks. She must have been in shock not dead. Thank you God for saving my Hoppy . I still can't believe it.
