Trump creating his own party would basically mean Desantes would be uncontested for the Rep in 2024. This could mean moderates jump to vote Desantes with the never-Trumpers just because they don't want Trump to win.

That still splits the votes. Trump will loose florida, but gain many other states. Desantis isnt running for president in my opinion. The damn elections need to be proven defrauded. Until that is the case, nobody you want to run will win.
