He was pretty low energy, maybe this wasn't the speech he wanted to make. Maybe something happened out of sight that caused change in plans. Hope springs eternal.

Well ... amazingly ... the votes all came in today to geive GOP the House in time for them to vote in McCarthy before his speech ... I believe he forced their hand to call it before he made a push for Speaker of the House. It was kind of Genius. We'll look back at this later as the Stable Genius pushing things forward.
