Thank you for this. I have heard the brain - eye connection is amazing and that people can literally turn their vision 'upside down' or 'rightside up.' Experiments show that if a person is looking through a device that turns their visual world up side down, after three days, their eyes will adjust and be able to see normally again, even if they are still looking through that device! That amazes me and it caused me to wonder if a person could just live for 3 days without using their glasses AT ALL, would they be able to see better after that? (Like if they have the old people vision issues of things getting blurry or astigmatism or far sighted ness.) What do you think?

Their vision would be better, but not all the way to 20/20. Eye exercises might help with farsightendness since they need more focusing power. A combination of stronger ciliary muscle and more flexible lens might do it.
I have about a -1.5 D prescription. Haven't had 20/20 since a kid or ever? But thankfully I avoided progressive myopia. My 10 year old glasses work fine. And I think I've gone 3 years without wearing them at all.

I have heard of that study too.

My vision has been getting better as I age. My glasses have been worse than nothing for years, and I've stopped wearing contacts.
If I'm really lucky, age will balance near-sightedness and I'll be all set!
I wonder if I can get the lens restriction off my driver's license...
Eye exercises? Lol. That sounds funny / cute. Can you suggest some? Are you an optometrist/optician/ophthalmologist?
