Psychiatric and mental conditions of one form or another have been steadily increasing for a while. Even discounting the drugging hyperactive kids thing that’s become typical for parenting. Rates of Autism also have increased. Rates for various allergies, conditions, and assorted other problems are climbing as well. Not to mention emergence of entirely new illnesses, allergies, and conditions.

So it’s not particularly shocking a large percentage of the population is on various pysch drugs.
