Been going through it for over a year now. My ex committed adultery and fraud, but due to IL’s no-fault laws, I can’t use any of that in court. I get punished instead by having to pay her spousal maintenance and all that. Just like the rest of the judicial system, there’s no justice. I know this is personal to me, but I see stuff like this happening to so many people, and I strongly feel that the attacks on the nuclear family and the feminism crowd have a lot to do with it. The system rewards immorality and criminality, and punishes those who do the right things.

Same thing happened to me, brother. I feel your pain.
Ex stepped out and threw away the marriage, but I had no say in who kept the kids and had to pay child support along with alimony. Kids are grown up and I'm out from under the alimony bullshit, but that burn lasts forever.
IL is indeed a shitty state for dads.
