Our society has trended over the last however many decades to view stoicism as a fault. Look to how popular entertainment is always pushing men 'not afraid to cry'. Look at the popular saying 'wears his heart on his sleeve'. I believe this to be part of the emasculate agenda.

I view stoicism as a virtue because it allows us to keep perspective and logically work through stressful events. Until fairly recently men have always been viewed as stoic and that is where their strength derives. When paired with womens more emotional perspective it is humanities great strength.
