What did we achieve in the midterms? Besides the wins, which are substantial when taken as a whole, if we really examine what happened, we should be taking away from this experience the ways in which we were beat in order to correct and adjust where we need to. We need to learn how to beat them at their own game. As much as we object to ballot harvesting and mail-in ballots, it is legal and the voting norm in many states. Yes, there was a certain amount of fraud. But it does not tell the whole story. Fraud is where they want us to focus and spin our wheels while all the time we are missing the obvious. How much of the fraud narrative is being driven by misinformation? We are engaged in fifth generation information warfare.
The loses were not due to fraud alone. The fraud would not have been enough to get them over the top without the bulk of their numbers being gathered by ground game ballot collection. If we can take that ground away from them, then the fraud is not going to accomplish much for them. If we have the results that we do from messaging alone, can you imagine what the results would be if we took the ground game process away from them. Now that would truly be a red wave of hard core MAGA. These same rules will also get us the primary wins of American First candidates as well.
They beat us because they played the system, such as it is, to their advantage. It was never about the issues - which are on our side hands down. The Dems used the process and sought out ballots of low intensity voters that probably would have never made it to the polls to vote anyway. They got the vote out and harvested these ballots. In addition, as long as the narrative is driven on our side that the losses were because of fraud alone, they still win. Disenfranchised voters throw their hands up and check out. Meanwhile, the Dems sit back laughing because we keep beating the election fraud drum.
If you want to fix 2020 and 2022 learn to use the voting conditions in a particular state instead of fighting what is not going to be changed anytime soon - at least not until we can regain control of the State's election machinery. We need to start fighting smarter. CA Republicans learned how to play the game by their rules and where it was applied, they won in heavily leaning Dem districts. I think CA flipped 4 or 5 House seats beating the Dems at their own game. Those CA wins gave us the House back.
Also, from what I have been hearing our campaign tactical strategies are a mess. AZ and NV in particular did not have contingency backup strategies in place to file lawsuits if needed. They were all but non existent. Where were the lawyers, where were the war rooms? I heard that on election day, much of the staff for candidates were dismissed. Dems on the other hand, had organized plans to fix ballots. WTF? You mean to tell me that the people running these campaigns can't figure this shit out! This is why we are getting beat folks and as long as we keep wanting to blame it all on election fraud, they will continue taking us to the wood shed. If we can get our act together and fight this war, we will win and we will win big because we also have the winning issues. But we will not win unless we can marry up issues with the process.
