To anyone that has never learned of the Winged hussar stories a good one to learn about is Battle for Vienna Sep 12th 1683. That battle reminds me of our current situation. All hope appeared to be lost, if Vienna fell The Islamic ottoman Turks would have been able to invade all of Europe. But then in the distance as Vienna was near destruction Polish king Sobieski & his 5-7,000 winged hussar horsmen arrive on the battlefield , with one swift blow over 100,000 Elite ottoman troops of all kinds where vanquished forever, never to be seen again. The Ottoman Empire never recovered. So remember frens, its never over till its over...
I know what you mean..a modern redux would be very worth seing; TBS, it DID show why the moslems are so set on avenging their defeat on any anniversery, though.. π€
The 11th was the date of the victory-the movie compresses the artillery being moved up the mountain and that was the key to the victory-the moslems were caught short by the bombardment followed by the Winged Cavalry charge. I sure would like to see see an upgraded movie..
I believe the German infantry provided the distraction to trick the Ottomans into squaring off them , then the Others flanked. What a glorious sight that would have been, to witness the Largest Calvary charge in all of history. 15,000-20,000 horsemen charging at 100,000 ottomans, with one blow An empire comes to an abrupt end. Glory & honor to the brave !
