You can get your own blood work done using the same labs as the doctors do. https://healthonelabs.com/ You have to pay for it out of pocket, but no doctor visit required, Lots of online help to understand the results and you can monitor your own health with the help of a naturopath. I have been doing it for years. If something is out of whack, I call the naturopath and discuss natural options for treating it using supplements and natural herbs. It can be done, if you invest some time.
Its likely better as something taken reactively than proactively. Has a few solid uses, usually for out of control blood glucose. Like many supplements its benefits are probably somewhat overstated, but I think it has value.
Thank you so much for your wisdom and I'm sorry for being so abrupt with my response to your generous offer. We are in this together and at most we (us schmoes) are sharing anecdotal evidence at best. Thank you for the link. I value your opinion.
One of the valves in my friend's heart fribulates every once in a while. He takes nitro to stop it, he scared me really bad the other day, he had someone bring him by for a dose of the IVERS and Zinc. I have the unflavored horse paste and I put it in capsules as if you are already sick it will make you barf. He said he felt better but I didn't have any idea how to help someone having a heart attack that in our area cannot go to the hospital, its a one way trip and everyone here knows it.
It pisses me off that they started taking medical or Medicare out of my small ss check.
Funny you should mention cholesterol.... Back when I was still going to doctors, (15 years ago) this guy was after me to take statins, (for the rest of my life) My wife who is into this subject bigly said, no way, statins are bad!! Try berberine, per doctor Whitaker. Anyway, I started taking 500 mg of berberine every day for a couple of weeks and went back to this guy, took another test and he said, "look, your cholesterol is coming down nicely!!" I never told him and never went back. It may work for you. It's cheap and worth a try. It worked for me. As for naturopaths, I would google naturopaths in my area and go from there. I am not a doctor, just a poor schmoe trying to avoid the "system".

Shameless plug but I am a dietician that wants to become a naturopath, if anyone has any questions about health i'm here.
Let me ask then.... What do you think of berberine?

Here's a good website if you want to learn about its biochemical effects on the body and what the proven and unproven benefits are. https://supplements.selfdecode.com/blog/berberine-19-health-benefits-of-berberine-with-references/
