I've always thought of it as remaining teachable, and remaining humble , giving all Glory to God, and not oneself, to recognize any good you do, comes from the Higher Power of our Creator, the God Almighty. Remaining meek in my relationship with God is not always easy, if I let my ego dictate what I want, and then go bullheaded to what I want, lures me to sin to get what I want. If I work towards a goal, and keep my intent, and work hard, and it does not come through for me, I must accept it was not as God has planned for me, and meekly accept it. “Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation—some fact of my life—unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.". This is a quote from what is called the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Well spoken
