Scientists have sequenced the genome of the chimpanzee and found that humans are 96 percent similar to the great ape species. From National Geographic.
Also 98% relative to pigs, 90% to elephants, etc etc. Even 60% to bananas. So there's that.
It's like DNA has to be a certain way for life to work...
