Given that modern Christianity was given to us by the Cabal, I'm ok with that. Christ taught a different doctrine than Paul. But Paul set Christ up as an idol to worship and beg for salvation, rather than an example to follow. I would expect much of the ancient religion that Christ either founded or tried to restore would be found in religions around the world and not just Catholic offshoots.
This is quite a claim. Do you have any evidence?
Evidence of which part?
Modern Christianity tacitly admits, whether they like it or not, that the Christianity they received via the Catholic Church was wholly corrupt (else why break away and reform it?), and yet they accept without question that the collection of books (La Biblia or "Bible") they received from that corrupt institution was somehow devoid of corruption and accept every word of it as authoritative.
I don't.
In fact, when I read the New Testament, I see two wholly different gospels: that of Christ, who said to his disciples "Come, and follow me" and that of Saul/Paul, the supposed Christian convert who saw Jesus in a Desert on the road to Damascus (somewhere Jesus said not to believe he would be found after his ascension) who was a former Pharisee, whom Jesus referred to as "children of the Devil", "whited sepulchers, filled with dead men's bones" and "of the synagogue of Satan", which church was born in Babylon (see Habakkuk chapters 1 and 2), and engaged in human sacrifice and feasting on children (which they still do today).
Albeit the gospel of Christ appears to have been strategically altered in numerous ways to align better with the false idolatrous gospel of Saul/Paul, where we are told not to come FOLLOW Christ and do his works (for how could we, seeing as we are fallen, born of dirty sex and lust, and thus, our works are nothing but "dirty rags", unlike Jesus, born of a virgin, going throughout life without making any mistakes, etc?) but instead, to simply call upon Christ to save us, as lazy idolatrous Israel of old had done so many times before with idols of every kind.
Christ sought continually to teach his apostles and other disciples to expand their thinking, and to embrace the supernatural capabilities they had as Sons of God via faith. Modern Christians, as if reading from the Pharisees script, like to call those of us who think of ourselves as Sons of God, trying to emulate Christ and recreate his works, as heretics and blasphemers. Modern Christians are as jealous of the reputation of the Christ they worship, but do not follow, as the Pharisees were of Abraham and Moses, who they also claimed to worship, but did not follow.
The Bible contains many truths, but to treat it as the authority on Truth is to miss the message of it completely. The Pharisees too, worshipped their scripture as a God. And Christ chastised them for it. The Bible is full of stories of men who spoke directly with God, and gained their power through the realization of, and faith in the fact, that they were His Children, and they went about working mighty miracles by faith. Nowhere in that book do you find the stories of scribes and bookworms working miracles. Nowhere in there do you find that the scriptures were the authority, but living men speaking to a living God. Christ commanded all to search the scriptures, and if you do, that is what you will find. But once you find it, if you lack the faith to seek out God yourself, and bind yourself to the obviously corrupted scriptures with dogmatic thinking, what good have you done yourself? Are you healing the sick? Are you working miracles? Or is your religion merely academic--something to argue about?
You will also find that it is not hard for evil men to take those scriptures and twist them, as Saul/Paul, and later the Catholic Church, most certainly did.
God is God of all the earth. I expect that anyone in any religion that encourages quiet contemplation should be able to happen upon truth directly from the source. So I do not toss aside the words of those of other faiths as easily as some do on this board.
It's really strange to me that you say the Catholic Church corrupted the message of scripture that was to follow Christ through example and works which allow us to do miracles through Faith. It's the Catholic Church that promotes the stories of the Saints, and part of being recognized as a Saint is having miracles attributed to your name. There are hundreds of Catholic Saints with well documented miraculous events, and these Saints lived the ultimate life of Christ-like example. The Catholic Church also does not hold scripture as the ultimate authority, that is a very Protestant idea called Sola Scriptura. It is also the Catholic Church that says faith without works is dead, while protestants tend to think all one needs is faith. I think you have a blind spot to what the Catholic Church actually teaches, and instead have an issue with more American style Pentecostal Protestantism.
And yeah, the Catholic Church didn’t treat the Bible as authoritative. It supplanted Hod and the Spirit with your Holy Vicar to sit on the throne if God and speak for him. Catholicism is a joke of a joke.
I have plenty of problems with both. Your “church” gave us the Dark Ages. Your Pope was a despot of the highest order who separated men from God and sold forgiveness of sins. Of course there were good Catholics here and there. All the reformers were originally Catholic. Your church brought the world despotism and darkness. Your priests were your despot’s spies. It now openly worships death, destruction, and the devil himself. Don’t let me get started.
