In the case of Ivermectin, the response is that there have been hundreds of millions of doses prescribed over decades. If there was a risk, you would have heard about it before it was proclaimed ineffective against the coof so they could have their emergency authorization, not to mention the inexpensive nature made it impossible to get rich selling. My own mom tried to regurgitate the anti-ivermectin propaganda line she saw on the news. She hadn't heard about it curing river blindness and other parasitic infections, just that it was killing people eating horse paste. Then I showed her the horse paste I had been eating, lol!
It won the Nobel Prize precisely because it is so safe they could send it to people in remote places to self administer because the risk of overdose and dangerous side effects is virtually non-existent. Saved so much suffering and so many lives. Truly a miracle drug, not even on the top 100 most dangerous over the counter drugs, unlike acetaminophen which has much more significant side effects especially if taken on a regular basis.
That is awful, I'm sorry. I had no idea ibuprofen was that dangerous; I'm still just showing the acetaminophen-while-pregnant information to my family. If you don't mind, please could you tell us what ibuprofen did to her?
She passed away yesterday morning. The ibuprofen caused an ulcer which ate through her stomach. She started having severe abdominal pain about 6 weeks ago and went to the ER. Drs find the leak in her stomach and more damage to her colon and performed an emergency surgery to repair the holes. After surgery she went home for a week or so but ended up back because she was so weak and still having stomach pain. Turns out she ended up with a CDiff infection which is what killed her. In honesty she did drink heavily so I am sure that did not help and perhaps compounded the effects of the ibuprofen.

I can vouch for this. My sister just died after having emergency surgery for the ibuprofen she had been taking daily to combat severe back pain.

Sorry to hear that, fren.
Sorry for that. I have family that over uses OTCs like that, and I try to tell them to stop.
Iiuc more people have died from acetaminophen than any other drug ever
The risk is that there would be fewer jabs/vaxes thus lowering the profitability of some pharma corps. We simply can't have that, now can we?
