I think he used a non gay version of remote viewing to determine whose pant was packing the larger punch of a non pugilistic variety if you gather my meaning.

Either that or he applied the Navigational technique called Dead Reckoning but instead of using it to plot a course he completely ignored it and pulled the figure out of his ass, metaphorically speaking.
