Yeah, the left and right evolved depending on the issues of the day and I haven't studied it in any depth. My understanding is that In the time of kings, the right consisted of those who supported the monarchy. But by 1930, the left side were the communists. And where the "progressives," like Hillary, were progressing toward was global communism.
