I know how the good guys win - we are on the right side of this battle. Evil doesn’t prosper. It may seem, for a time, that they are winning but it’s been said so often, and bears repeating, that this is a spiritual battle being played out in the natural. Evil has no real power. Evil operates through humans who have given themselves over to greed, malice and hatred. Light and Love defeats darkness every time, and the Light will win again - whether this is an “end times” battle, or just another one along the journey. Bottom line, when we stay in the Light, God has got our backs. Doesn’t mean we won’t lose some people we love, but it’s helpful to see that from God’s perspective - this life is not meant to be our reward, or our eternity.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭13‬
