IPhone users are very loyal, and price does not seem to be a factor.
Android users are satisfied with theor phones snd their prices are hard to beat.
It has been a while since either company has released anything new or exciting.
I dont think politics would be enough to drive many people to a new phone system. The masses care little for freedom or privacy.
So what could an X phone possibly have to drive business?
He could give them away for free and make money via licensing his new O/S to the apps. Free internet connection to Starlink as a bonus. Possibly exclusive to Tesla Phones. So everyone runs out and swaps for the hot new FREE thing and all the money is made in the back end deals once the user base is captured from the enemy. And if the business model doesn’t quite work, the Department of Defense covertly underwrites it.
If the normal grid goes down the Starlink phones would still be operational? I would assume anyway.
