IPhone users are very loyal, and price does not seem to be a factor.
Android users are satisfied with theor phones snd their prices are hard to beat.
It has been a while since either company has released anything new or exciting.
I dont think politics would be enough to drive many people to a new phone system. The masses care little for freedom or privacy.
So what could an X phone possibly have to drive business?
It would be very hard to convince me to be honest. As someone who owned the Microsoft phone for a number of years, and tried to variations of it because I wanted something different, I have to say the app market will absolutely destroy any love you have for the hardware or operating system of the x phone.
Not having an adequate gym app, or having an app to talk to your friends, or having a decent texting app that is efficient and can store images, or having support to open Excel documents, there's a number of things you don't realize you use your phone for until you're not able to use them.
He can make excellent hardware, and an excellent operating system, but without that market support it's pretty much doomed to fail. At least for people like me who don't even have laptops or computers anymore, and they just use their phone for everything from scheduling their employees to creating leases to searching for new vehicles to keeping in contact with family to taking random photos, the app market is a big deal.
