that reminds me (open records)... You can look up people's registered political parties in FL if you have their name and birthdate. I don't much care for that, although I found an old registration for me from when I used my Uncle's old house for my residence while in the USAF. I'll have to fix that soon. When I moved out of FL in 2020 (back to TX) I canceled my registration so I went in and looked to make sure. The newer one was gone (and for my wife too) but that's when I found my old one (30ish years old). I still can't believe that never went away.
Point is - that open records thing sure makes it easy to cheat if someone has a list of names and birth dates.
I have family and friends in Florida that register as non-affiliated for that reason. You give up the ability to vote in the primaries but your actually affiliation cannot be discerned and get you put on a list.
