These particular tweets were appropriate to censor. They contained 'unblurred Hunter pics'. (You can confirm this for yourself by using the Wayback Machine. Several of these tweets are archived.)

I'm hoping Elon releases more e-mails where someone is saying 'please censor this', but where the content is clearly political in nature, not pornographic.

Overall, the thread was damning -- but not this particular item.
