It's actually not completely true. He said something about not looking to impeach but first wanted to see how the investigations played out.

Personally I think he is a weasel and don't want him anywhere near that gavel but he did say he was going to do investigations.

I don't trust that he will do real investigations, so we will see how that goes. Hopefully though he is not elected speaker and none of this will matter. My choice would be Jim Jordan but there is likely 0 chance he would get it.
