I am not really sure if impressions are the same as or part of consciousness?? What do you think?
Just reading on GA about Reddit and half a million people discussing suicide as a way out ..having stopped reading or music as it all seems pointless...
.but this is the very state that is necessary for any spiritual growth..the real pursuit of the American dream ..the pursuit of happiness...is only to be found in going inside and asking yourself who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going when I die?
I would recommend Ramana Maharshi...by asking himself these questions he gained inner peace and happiness....what we in the west call the kingdom of heaven.

He's just using an embellished and poetic expression to say "brain" or more correctly, his nervous system.
And, he said it "concluded". While I would tend to disagree, inasmuch as I see conclusions being reached primarily in the mind (spirit) rather than the brain (flesh), for any living human, the interaction between the spirit and the flesh is where the center of consciousness manifests and resides, where we bring together the data coming through our material senses with the data coming through our spiritual senses (ideally).

Remembered gurdjieff spoke of long hair capturing impressions..so that in the aether ..science has a lot to learn what the ancients knew about the aether
Didn’t they draft a bunch of Native Americans in WW2 for their expertise in navigating and running wildly/blindly yet always having sense of direction?
