But I also understand the basics of how the SC functions and understand what a long shot it is that this case will be heard. The people I'm talking about seem to not understand that. They are looking at this as if it's a forgone conclusion that the SC will hear this case. They will be completely blindsided should the SC decide to pass this case up.
They're forming opinions and expectations on something that they don't really understand. It's not a smart idea to let people run around unchecked when it's something as important as SCOTUS decisions. They need to at least understand the basics of what is going on.
