The guy speaking was calm and collected. What he said to the officers was powerful. You could tell how uncomfortable they were. They did not want to be there doing what they were doing, but job, paycheck and pension.
That is how the deep state is killing us. These officers have family and look forward to taking care of them with pension and financial means in future while destroying the people today.
It’s a fucked up thing to do to people too, where these cops are what? Mid-30s, mid-40s? They probably have kids, wives, a mortgage, and they’ve trained most of their adult lives to be police officers. It’s easy to say quit your job, but at 35 it’s hard to start anew, go back to school, and retrain as a plumber or a carpenter or something. Not that it’s impossible, but it’s easy to see why that would feel impractical to people. Meanwhile they are trapped in this huge corrupt machine that is much bigger than them so they think, “Who am I to stop this? If I don’t shut this restaurant down, someone else will.” Now the cops who enforced Covid with zeal, slamming women into the ground and spraying them with mace, that is different. Those guys should go to jail. But these sheepish enforcers, I do feel some sympathy for them. It’s a tough position because if they break the chain of command and stop following the orders of the Police Chief, the entire hierarchical structure of law enforcement breaks down.
True, but they need to ban together and refuse these orders and force out the police chief making them. This brave patriot telling them the truth so calmly and directly might help some of these cops to talk among themselves and say, "What are we doing? Enough is enough."

Messed up.

Perfectly put
