I have to be a little vague here...

Neuralink is under investigation because it was a red herring to begin with.

Synchron is the company that is truly advancing all this. They've already done it. Check who funds Synchron.

Musk was put of in front to give us a shiny object to look at. This is part of the reason Musk is on a warpath.
