Closed-loop be it wired or radio transmission of the feed as long as it is encrypted and in no way shape or form even capable of wifi or of using a wifi type setup to transmit the signal or update the software.
Cheap video door-bell camera setups are often wired or with short range radio transmission and the same goes for many nanny-cams.
Basically if it says wif or online anywhere on the box it should be a nope...
Many years ago we lived next door to a young couple that had a baby monitor in the baby's room. Audio only.We could here it on a radio that my kids had in their room. I told the couple and they were horrified. It was thirty years ago. I can't imagine what surveillance is capable now.
Back in the day baby-monitors were all analog and this lack of security is the exact reason for this stuff now being digital and having at the very least a multiplexed signal(same principle as with garage-door openers and your controller only working on your garage-door) if not encrypted...
