Call me a doomer if you want, but people are getting entirely too excited over this. It ultimately doesn't matter, because:
If the federal government wins, the deepstate will simple target the federal government. If the states win, the deepstate will just target the states more. And at the end of the day, they're both targeted regardless.
The effect will ultimately be the same. The system doesn't matter. Just the people running it.
Well it’s not a question of if the federal government or state government wins. It’s a question over whether a state’s supreme court (judicial branch) can change election rules on the fly contrary to what the state legislatures have written. The Constitution is very clear that the state legislature gets to make the rules for their own elections—both local and national. It’s what the state supreme courts did in 2020 that’s in question here.
It’s way harder to control 50 state legislatures than 1 state court or 1 federal government.
The gotcha is whether the Supreme Court is compromised yet.
