My little brother is there on his Mormon mission right now. Just got this note passed from my parents from his mission president down there:

You may have heard of the political shakeup which occurred today in Lima. The government is working through its constitutional processes and they seem to be functioning as designed. In our mission (Chiclayo) we have not seen any significant problems and the government, under the direction of its new president and a united congress, is functioning fairly normal now. The police and the military are honoring the orders of the new president and congress. Neither we nor the Area Presidency consider any of our missionaries to be in danger. However, just to be safe, we have reminded them of the need to avoid crowds and demonstrations. We have also asked them to be in their apartments by 7 pm tonight as an extra precaution.
