Unless you have files that go back years, in the same folder.

It's not about YOU knowing what year it is, and what month it is. It's about easily being able to sort through files.

I can see your point but I don't agree that this is a common enough use scenario that we should have all our dates backwards.

It's hardly the biggest issue we face today though and I will struggle through. ;)
