There were some episodes where Tom & Jerry worked together, such as when the big dog was involved.

People have to keep relearning this. I see posts like this and people agreeing and finally understanding the caste system, oppressed and oppressor historical dynamics, and an even wider view from overhead. But then they get eaten by their own fear and hate. And it's back to spending all the ammo on owning a Democrat or a neighbor that has a pride flag. I dislike flags of almost any kind. But I really dislike giving a damn what flag people fly.

What are you talking about? If you ever watched the cartoons, you'd know that in some of them, they just want to kill each other, and in others they are literally best friends and there is some other antagonist.
it doesn't really make a lot of sense to argue that tom and jerry are or aren't friends when the show never really had any kind of plot honestly. they were just characters in random shorts of wackiness with episodes set hundreds of years apart from each other. it doesn't matter if they're friends at one point, because in the next episode it'll be like the last one never even happened and they'll be at each other's throats again.
