There is an argument to be made that this evil, ingenious, nebulous, all-encompassing, cabal system was put into place by great great grandfathers that are long dead. Their silver spoon offspring, while born and raised with the true knowledge of how the world works, and vast amounts of wealth, aren't necessarily any more intelligent than the non-cabal savants we have.
