It seems to me there are two kinds of judges. One that upholds the law as it was intended, and one that finds any loophole possible to legally allow the law to be broken. Meaning that even though they know the law was broken, they give the law breaker a way out due to the smallest of technicalities. Used to be those judge's rulings would be overturned by better judges higher up, but the better judges are drying up fast.
