Like anything else. It can be used for good or evil. Too many people are eager to throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water. Because We’ve only seen such things used for dark purposes thus far.

Gene therapies. The ability to repair damaged or mutated DNA. Repair or fix genetic conditions. The list goes on with potential positives.

There are of course ethical and moral quandaries. But such developments aren’t entirely without potential benefits even if the source can be of a dubious or questionable nature
