That's a really good question. I've heard it answered in different ways the common one being - it isn't secret, it's just private.
I think there is some merit to this particular explanation as almost everything I've come across so far (and some I haven't) is already published openly on the internet if you know where to look - and it's not hard to find.
Whatever it is about FM and its rituals that were once considered worthy of being kept secret has been lost. It's a bit like the old priesthood who kept The Bible in latin and wouldn't allow translations so they could maintain all the power.
I have no doubt that there are people within FM who use it for personal gain and contacts etc. (even though it is a breach of the 'rules' - of which there are many).
There are a lot of esoteric hints and clues within the texts, rituals and imagery that could lead one to a higher understanding of the universe and our place in it - but to be perfectly honest I learned more studying alchemy for 20 years than I have so far in FM. There certainly isn't any actual hard knowledge given to FM's that they could use in a real sense outside of an admonition for personal growth and respect for the Almighty.
There's a perception of prestige to belonging to such a group, but it doesn't feel like that very often. I have serious concerns about the 'additional' stuff that isn't technically part of FM but you have to be a FM to join - I proceed with caution at all times.
edit: one aspect that I should also point out is that the sense of 'brotherhood' with all other freemasons, whilst highly lauded, is mostly a sham. That was revealed during the recent lockdowns. There are quite a few decent people who genuinely care about their fellow man, but most seem to be just 'people'.
It is also a way to preserve ancient welsh via greek via babylonia via sumerian knowledge. The truly secretive side of Freemasonry was introduced (or reintroduced) to the british throne with the ascent of the Welsh Tudors. It is a way to preserve this precious knoweldge (gathered over 10s of thousands of years) so that it is never lost.
All the British Empire outposts, mainly USA, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil were all built by freemasons. It was a way to disseminate this knowledge to select members of society, who would go on to be politicians, architects, musicians, writers etc. Using that precious knowledge to enrich society. Think of all the great buildings built during that time.
This particular knowledge has led a certain organisation (the Roman Catholic Church) to condemn freemasonry as this knowledge (when widely known) ruins their monopoly on religion but mainly their investments in energy, technology, etc.
Free energy and Tesla technology is derived from this knowledge. The energy cabal is ruined if this gets out in the public.
Yes i thought thi.s...to know certain things can get you ripped apart by the herd..especially inquisition times etc. Most people don't even want knowledge .and gurdjieff talked about this.
I am against secret societies too but a bit like the X-Men some knowledge some things must be kept secret ..they wouldn't be understood anyway
Seriously? This kind of attitude... how do you think they convince joiners that drinking blood and killing kids and adrenochrome are the Way? So secret they would kill us if they knew but third eye and all that, you will know everything and be like gods. Is that not exactly what the serpent told Eve?
What? When I joined, they didn't even ask me to fuck a goat - although a few jokes were made about it.
If someone could actually point me at some hard evidence at what stage in Freemasonry the above stuff is actually carried out, I would be most grateful, because it certainly doesn't happen to 'joiners'.
Um, you're wrong about why the church had to tell it's people to stop joining that secret society. In their own documents, and in public forums, books and newspapers, freemasons openly fought the church and committed arson and bombings frequently across all Europe. Had some family who were in it, and at least one that we know of deeply regretted having done so. But apparently, like the Mafia, you can never leave. We suspect a died suddenly of another family member to be related.
Your assertion about the church is laughable as well- they would be afraid that a SECRET society would put dangerously empowering information out in the PUBLIC. After centuries and centuries of not having done so. Nothing to do with open attacks on the church. Or I guess they don't tell you those parts in your club meetings. Good luck getting out.
I know of a way, just stop paying your yearly subs. Or better yet just tell them.
You're misled about Latin and the Bible, many are. Back in the day, different parts of Europe thought their language was Latin. Seriously. Only those who traveled a lot and those who could read would recognize how the different areas were separating from each other, and as the bibles were copied from prior ones by hand, they were the only unchanging piece of language they had.
When everything else is changing and attacks against the church are commonplace (even today) where evil people steal blessed objects, bibles and the eucharist to desecrate them, one had to adopt a highly protective regimen against these attacks. Infiltration by masons was commonplace, and they were also behind church bombings and arson, especially where the Virgin Mary was honored.
No doubt there was evil in the church and all the churches all through time, but don't assign evil intent to everything without context. Thanks
