Like when people’s entire explanation of Putin’s motivation in Ukraine is “he’s fucking crazy”. As if the leader of a country could go insane and continue to lead thousands, if not millions, of other men. It’s one thing to not like Putin, but to be so intellectually dishonest about how human motivation works, or to casually dismiss calculated actions as “insanity” is - well, not convincing.
