I think he made a mistake in the poll. He should not have have mentioned himself, but made it generic "doxxed anybody's location in real-time", because even a lot of right wing people (and even Anons) have the MDS (Musk Derangement Sydrome) and probably voted "Now".
I actually voted ‘now’, because what they did wasn’t a violation of the rules at the time they did it. The rules were changed, and then they were suspended.
Also, posting public flight info, although irresponsible, isn’t the same thing as doxxing someone.
I don’t think he made the right decision, though obviously understandable when what they did enabled someone to threaten the safety of his kid.
All of this to say, I don’t think it’s a resurgence of bot activity.
Update: I was missing a major piece of the story. What was posted was not simply public flight info. From what I gather, Elon pays for a service to anonymize his travel so he, personally, doesn’t have his location always available to any nutcase. (Remember, he’s a private citizen, not a government employee).
What happened was someone reverse engineered the method used, and broadcasted for everyone his active flight path.
This is equivalent to someone accessing a cab dispatch center, finding out the cab number that Elon is in, and then broadcasting it to the world in real time.
Knowing these details, I would gladly support a permanent ban for these accounts.
Sorry to say I would vote for now. We are going to need more grace than vengeance during this and when it comes down to giving these suckers access to their drugs back while weakening the idea of personal soft sock suspensions, it is a win-win concession.
This is brilliant. Make a few polls, say something like "vox populae, vox dei" or whatever. Then actually follow the will of the poll. Then use more polls to find the bots whose handlers think they are influencing the outcome.

It’s a trap. Suss out more bots.

Its another bot trap

Good way to root them out
