To all of the comments that are saying the theme... "Your Christian values are great, but keep them to yourself - don't try to create laws that reflect them."
I ask you this.
What religion should our laws reflect then?
You didn't read that wrong. Which religion do we use?
You see - even if you do not believe in the truth of the Bible, you follow a religion.
Even if you believe in no god at all - you follow a religion.
Everyone has a religion.
Which do we use when we create our laws?
Funny thing is - our Constitution/Founding Fathers set up the answer for us. Answer - the laws shall be a reflection of the people who decided them.
So - if you're in an area that has a certain religion - you're going to find laws that reflect that.
Now - I completely understand that not everyone in an area is going to like those laws. And I do not suggest that the church should be IN government.
But to suggest to Christians who want to follow the Bible - and whom do not want to have Laws that ENABLE lifestyles that are counter to the Bible...
To suggest we should just sit down, shut up - and follow what YOUR religion is... would be completely hypocritical to your own argument to begin with.
You don't want to be held to standards that are against YOUR beliefs.
So why do you advocate that others bend then knee to yours?
