Being obese is child endangerment or abuse if you ask me. Parents should know better than to let a child get so overweight KNOWING the challenges and health issues that will result and yet most kids today are overweight and heading for a life of health problems!
Disagree. My child had hypothyroidism that we didn’t find until she was 15. She gained 50 lbs in one year because of her body’s inability to burn fat. There’s sometimes more to the story than meets the eye.
Can be possible. Unfortunately though in this year of our Lord 2022 there are a lot more morbidly obese children going around than children with thyroid issues.
Hypothyroidism is not obesity. She has a health problem. I am sure when she gained all that weight you had her tested! Most kids and adults today are enormously overweight. Obesity is the pandemic in this country. I go to the grocery store and see a 400 pound woman with a couple of 200 pound children. THAT is child abuse.
Sometimes it's genetics. Both of my boys were overweight, with one being like two years behind in growth. They were both active, I watched what they ate, didn't keep pop or kink food. Now as adults, they're both average height ( I think) 5' 10" and 140. Lbs for one. My Marine is 130 with a 28/29" waist. They did alright.
Lots of skinny people die from diseases as well.
I think folk should mind their own affairs.
Your physical appearance has nothing to do with the person inside.
Love yourself first and then you will be able to love others.

According to statistics, being obese is a major health crisis in this country. Fast food and junk food are the main problems. Yeah, skinny people die all the time. That's not an argument for being 100 pounds overweight. The person inside might be wonderful but the person outside is killing themselves. Love has nothing to do with it either. I am not abusing anyone by stating facts. If you don't agree that's fine but not agreeing isn't changing the fact.
