The Florida 2023 legislative session, which runs from March 7th through May 5th, will be addressing Florida becoming a Constitutional Carry state. Indications are that this will pass and be enacted, as announced yesterday by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

I'll tell ya surprisingly even in NY, I'm seeing signs pop up in gas stations that say conceal carry is okay and lawful on premises.
Interesting. NYS is overrun with lawmakers who are rabidly anti-2A. In fact I'm almost surprised they haven't just "simplified" the laws down to "No firearms for honest, non-violent citizens. All felons can carry at will."
Cleaning out that cesspool of jackals, many probably selected vs elected, will be a Godsend when it finally happens.
This must happen. Currently I conceal carry 2nd amendment style with no permit. If you need a permit you ain't free. 2nd says I get to bear my arms anyway I want without interference, so I do. Practice the 2nd, don't wait for permission.
I've had conceal permits from 3 other states and I'm retired LE but don't want the federal permit offered to retirees.
That would be great! Encouraging news for many. I like this website. I’ve been visiting it for the past year or so. They are a conservative voice in a sea of left wing news outlets down here. It isn’t comprehensive in that they don’t always carry news stories about every happening but they manage to get to the important issues.
In other news (I love this story) Grady Judd bobble heads sell out. I am disappointed- I need one to go along with my DJT Chia pet.

Funny on the GJ bobblehead! I always think of the line he said during a press conference "That's all the bullets they had!" when asked by some snarky reporter why the police shot a violent suspect (who'd been on a murder rampage) so many times.
Seriously, though, the LEOs there in Polk County - and in plenty of other places across the country - really do a tremendous job running these stings to net huge numbers of human traffickers and drug dealers. I've watched a few of Sheriff Judd's press conferences of these stings. Common sense, matter-of-fact, dedicated to keeping the community safe. What every sane person wants.
I agree!
more the better,
the fake republicans in this state are in the way, by the way.
Here’s hoping for good things. I know that this got blocked down here last year. I believe the opposition from Miami was able to drum up enough support with help from the police. I heard that they’re not exactly excited about it either. But, when your state hosts Florida Man, can you blame them? :)
From other articles I've read on this, the opposition is already screeching (yes, including from Miami).
Dealing with Florida Man. . .

Sorry can someone explain the benefits? Does this mean you do not have to register your guns? Thanks trying to learn.
When you purchase a firearm from a dealer, I believe, they do a background check. (They submit it to the state, actually, that does the check to insure you're not a felon). You can use your firearm in your home and on your property (and I think in your car, not sure of Florida laws) and to go hunting, can take it with you to and from the shooting range. If, however, you want to (conceal) carry that firearm as you go for a walk, out shopping, etc, you need a conceal carry permit. For Constitutional Carry you no longer need to apply for and purchase a permit; you can keep your firearm with you on walks, etc. There are still restrictions such as schools and government buildings where you can't bring a firearm inside.
Here's more info.

Thanks for link.
Means if I'm a lawful owner I can carry a firearm without having to pay money to ask permission for my right to carry a firearm. I've heard this enough though and I'm not holding my breath anymore.
Thank you.
