We have to stop calling the left liberals. There is nothing liberal about any of their positions. Modern day conservatism is trying to conserve old world liberalism. Owning a gun and speaking your mind are very liberal ideas. The left has taken the position of liberal and conservatives have done themselves no favor by going along with the mantra.

Yea it's called the electric carriage if you need a way to look that stuff up. Also I do believe NYC had a fleet of electric taxis at the time as well. The major limit as is today is the battery technology. Rumor has it depending on how deep down the rabbit hole you research, that a guy invented an electric carriage that could get you around 1000 miles.
