Well, there's a squad, his first Squad, that is very proud of him, as we all put him in for Jump School, he arrived direct from ROK, in like 86, and made his way around the Army, became a DS, at Benning, then Black Hat at Benning, and did a full 20....
I owe that guy a pair of GI Issue Boots, but was thinking of sending him a set of, yeah, you guessed it....
It's only been like 36 years, I'm sure he'll get a good Laugh out of it....

Well, you know what they say,
.....shine'em up lace'em up, put'em on your feet,
a new pair of jump boots can't be beat.
Oh you can believe I'll be getting a set in the near future, less than six months, I miss walking in dependable shoes....
The only other set I liked were Jungle Boots, what sucked was we were issued New Jungles, on a three hour trip into Honduras, and breaking them in with Ocean Water takes three pair of socks just to keep your feet from rubbing raw....
So, Jump Boots all through the Honduras Jungle looking to ""Pacify"" the Salvadoran Army, because of a stupid Soccer Cup Game....
Jungle boots were the best, also my personal favorite. I'd love to get hold of the vietnam style/era jungle boots.
Old school trick was to use knee high panty hose to keep the blisters down. Good times, good times.
Is that the Panama Tread Lugs, or the other smoother tread?
I know of an online store that sells both....
