Had to share because this is truly despicable. They are absolutely evil.

Worship at home like you are supposed to.
I get that. I do. This isn't what they're alluding to though.
And what do those churches do the other 51 Sundays of the year? If staying home in pajamas is true for Dec 25, why wouldn't it also be true for all other Sundays?
I'm not a church goer, but if I was and my church did this, I'd be finding myself another church.
Exactly.
Christmas is on a Sunday. The day of worship. Because most don't worship everyday. Some of us do still. Basically they're saying that churches are cancelling Christmas service and urging families to stay home. What if not to celebrate our Lord, is Christmas about? I see it as they're putting the message out there so people don't feel obligated to go to church. Everyone's doin it, it's okay to be like them. OBEY. CONSUME. CONFORM.
I believe Easter is the most important remembrance, but yeah "you had one job" might apply.

I am thrilled our church will be having service on Christmas Day and we will be there!
I guess the majority forgets the true meaning of Christmas.
I'm an eastern rite catholic. We were taught the holiday (Christmas or Easter) only begins when the priest announces it in the beginning of the mass. Hrystos Razdiatsya or Hrystos Voskres.
Can you go if you identify as a Monday though?
Sorry I didn't realize there was a pay wall. 😕
Paywall. 😥
NY Times paywall (or at least requiring an email address to read). Can you summarize?
