According to Field McConnell, she was killed by felons who were flown in and then back to jail. The rape and torture was filmed. The "ransom" note was for the same amount the father got from the firm he worked for - guess he didn't do as he was told.
And yet, according to other accounts, she was being raped by her Brother, and things went horribly wrong, as if they weren't already, so they chose to save the boy, and just let her die before calling the Paramedics....
The Dispatcher stayed on the phone, even after the Mother thought she had hung up, so that recording is going to be long, And with the Video/AUDIO enhancement programs we now have, I'll bet my bottom Dollar that we can clarify everything said within listening distance of the receiver, and know know that solid walls always Echo every little sound, so we might be able to pick up things said in like another floor, and such....
There's a LOT of holes in this case, and someone is probably going to find a way to break it wide open....

I don't buy that, does not explain the ransom note.
Besides which, there is no way he'd be able to do it without leaving forensic evidence.

Strange how Lockheed Martin always crops up in murky goings-on.
A ransom Note for 118,000 Doolards, really??
Who asks for such a specific amount, when most would just give a general, 100K or 250K or a full Million, but 118,000???
Doesn't make sense....
Plus the entire Timeline of it, also doesn't make sense....
Bed at 10pm, parents wake up at 5:30am, note found cops arrive at 7:30am, body found at 1:00pm??
The Killer had about 7 hours to write the note, kill the girl, wrap her in a blanket, place her in the basement, and go away....
Still doesn't jive....
Why ask for a ransom, if the girl is dead??
Why kill her, if there's a chance to get the money??
Why place her in the basement??
Why did John NOT check the entire House, bottom to top, then top to bottom, looking for her???
What kind of investigation did the cops do, what did they miss??
The entire thing is full of holes, so we start with balancing Probable and Possible...
She was killed as a warning to others. McConnell's explanation ticks all the boxes.
Audio of Patsy screaming, “Burk! What did you do?”
Sauce?
Yup, Possible vs Probable....
