No. Direct democracy is mob rule, and online it is a self-selected group of voters.
Correct. The founding fathers understood this quite well, which is why they went for a constitutional republic. A constitutional republic is based on the rule of law, NOT mob rule.
They also decentralized all the real power to the states, and within states to the counties, along with the famous checks and balances between the 3 branches of the federal government. These checks and balances were then imitated by almost all the state governments as well.
An ingenious system. It is amusing to see morons thinking that they are smarter than the founding fathers - trying to undo the government that has proven itself to work so well for almost 250 years now...
All democracies throughout history have failed, and devolved into totalitarian governments instead. That is apparently what the GodBlessAmerica58 account wants.
