Possibly as a fake out. Again, this is a wild theory I have, but I’m thinking that Kushner could be negotiating with Musk on behalf of someone else, including Ivanka and possibly Trump himself. I also think it’s interesting that Kushner and Ivanka “stepped away” from the campaign, but if there is a Twitter move here, that might have been done to limit leftist screeching about conflict of interest.
