In my experience, as well as many others on this board, it is very self destructive to be the QAnon excited person in the family. I know my MIL and I have totally different experiences with being the "Q guy". She is excited by so many of the theories presented as fact. None of the ones she has been super excited about to the point of calling up people to tell them some extreme catastrophic thing was/is happening and we will need to be choosing which neighbors to kill for our families survival, go to the store now!, JFK Jr is alive!, NESARA/GESARA, and on and on. As a consequence she is making holiday gatherings very difficult for the member of our families to enjoy when she's around. She transparently believes things that would benefit her, while poo pooing anything that doesn't sound like total and complete sycophancy. I believe the same things but recognize how credibility works. Therefore I can redpill effectively. They take me seriously because I can show sources or concepts that don't rely on some faith.
I wish this movement was happening during a time that didn't involve social media. The same thing that happened to news when they adopted a 24hr news all the time, quantity over quality. Same thing that happens to podcasts that are weekly or daily. Same thing with constantly on-line adolescents or anyone really. They feel the need to have content so badly they begin to make shit up or rely on so much drama making in the belief it keeps the views up. My MIL is one of those that were hurt pretty badly by their management of the drops. I'm in the same family and it hasn't hurt my credibility at all because of the way I manage the info.
I would point folks here to a podcast called COLLAPSE. It's the type of info that will get any normal person waaay closer to "waking up". Because it is everything the board is learning about or has learned about, minus all of the things that require some kind of mystical beliefs. Which I also believe but leave out because the true info stands on its own.
That's what she tells them!
Of course most people know that it's a shorthand or they will point out how it doesn't matter. You know it, i know it, she knows it, and more importantly the people that refer to her as the QAnon of the family, all know who and what they are referring to in casual conversation. Which is the point of communication, of course.
But yes, you are good to point out the in-group nomenclature.
